by Loreo Equipment: Canon EOS 10D Digital SLR on auto-exposure with Loreo 3D Macro Lens in a Cap. Number 1, 2 and 3 closeup lenses. No tripod. The 3D Cap was set to f/16 for most shots. Tips: The combination of a digital SLR and a LOREO 3D Macro Lens in a Cap is excellent for 3D Macro photography. Set up tripod and lights in a professional studio, or take handheld snapshots outdoors. For impromptu shots, often it is easier to preset the focusing distance and aperture and move the camera to achieve the sharp focus. F/16 gives the best compromise between exposure, depth of field, and the partition line between the image pair brought about by the beamsplitter. Use f/22 if depth of field is required. Light metering: The 3D Macro Lens in a Cap has a single lens and an integrated beamsplitter unit. Where available, automatic TTL light metering should work well with exposure compensation set to -1.5 stops. These 3D pictures can be viewed online with a Loreo Pixi 3D Viewer. The Loreo 3D Macro Lens in a Cap is a non-full frame 3D lens which compensates for the focal length multiplier of non-full frame digital SLR cameras.
