The LOREO 3D Lens in a Cap (T) turns a non-full frame APS or digital SLR camera into a point-and-shoot 3D camera. It is lightweight and easy to carry around. Takes high quality 3D photographs in the side-by-side stereo format. This collection of photographs was taken in Summer 2003. Equipment: Canon EOS D30 Digital SLR on auto-exposure with 3D Lens in a Cap (T). No tripod. The 3D Cap was set to f/11 for most shots. Click on each image to view the enlargement. by Loreo Tips: Try photographing fast flowing subjects, such as water. It is surprising what flowing water can look like when frozen with a high shutter speed. Make use of the digital camera's ability to change ASA speeds "mid-roll". By increasing film speed 3D pictures can be taken at high shutter speeds in low light conditions. Most of the pictures in this gallery would be very difficult to take with a conventional film camera, and impossible with a single camera cha-cha style. Cha-cha also makes the use of a flash very difficult. The combination of a digital SLR and a 3D Lens in a Cap is excellent for 3D snapshots. Light metering: Many SLRs and digital SLRs require an adjustment to the Exposure Bias for auto-exposure to work well. This is because the 3D Lens in a Cap has dual lenses which cause the the light meter to over-estimate exposure required. Most of the pictures in this gallery were taken on auto-exposure on an exposure bias of -1.5 to -2.0. These 3D pictures can be viewed online with a Loreo Lite 3D Viewer. The Loreo 3D Lens in a Cap (T) is a specially modified 3D Lens in a Cap which compensates for the focal length multiplier of non-full frame digital SLR cameras.
